Applicants living only in NSW & Queensland are eligible to apply for visa to the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Sydney. Applicants from all other states and territories are advised to submit visa applications to the Bangladesh High Commission in Canberra.
It is important that you lodge a complete application. If you do not provide a complete application or do not meet the visa requirements, your visa application may not be processed.
You may be called for an interview, if required, by the consular officer.
You may be asked to provide further documents or information relating to your particular circumstances after your application has been lodged. The list of supporting documentation provided in the subsequent sections is not exhaustive. You may also include additional documents if they are relevant to your application. You should provide certified true copies of all documents. Documents that are not certified will not be accepted. You should also provide a certified English translation of any document other than English.
The Consulate General of Bangladesh reserves the right to approve or reject any application for a visa.
You must submit your visa application well in advance of your intended travel date. If you submit your visa application in the eleventh hour, you may be disappointed if your visa is not approved in time for your planned travel date. Therefore, you are requested to submit your visa application well in advance of your intended travel date.
An airline ticket is not a visa requirement and does not help expediting your visa application. You should not make non-changeable or non-refundable travel arrangements until you get confirmation that your visa application has been granted. The Consulate is not responsible for any financial damage sustained by visa applicants whose applications were processed later than anticipated or were rejected.
Issuance of a visa may be delayed if a clearance is required from the government of Bangladesh;
Schedule your appointments for visa applications from the Consulate’s homepage or the link provided at the bottom. Each applicant requires to book a separate appointment.
